Lawless Forge provides 3-hour blacksmithing classes to groups of friends, families, and colleagues as well as to the public. Customers use hammers, anvils, and fire to transform hot steel into knickknacks to take home. Our classes are fun, empowering, and accessible for all ages – and most attendees have never tried blacksmithing.

Blacksmithing Instructor
Job Type: Part-Time and Full-Time
Blacksmith class instructors are responsible for ensuring the safety of all class participants and promoting learning and exploration among all students in a highly interactive class setting. Must show professionalism, independence, and willingness to learn on the job.
No blacksmithing experience is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety of all customers
- Conduct public and private blacksmith classes with enthusiasm and patience
- Perform other shop duties when not teaching
- Must be able to communicate in a friendly and engaging manner
- Punctual and conscientious with the schedules and tasks assigned
Requirements
- Must be minimum 18 years of age and have your own transportation
- Blacksmith or metal fabrication experience is preferred but not required
- A passion for teaching in a fun, personable manner
- A friendly, calm demeanor is preferred
