Our public classes offer a cost-friendly way for individuals or small groups to dive into the world of blacksmithing. Perfect for those looking to try something new, these sessions allow you to join up to 14 other participants in crafting a unique piece you can take home the same day. Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, our instructors guide you through every step of the process, making sure you leave with a finished product and unforgettable memories.

Coat Rack

Just in time for fall, forge your own coat rack to hang up your jackets all season long. Under the guidance of our expert smiths, you’ll draw out, bend, twist, and shape hot metal into a one-of-a-kind, hand-forged coat rack built with your own two hands.
Knife Sharpening
- $65 per person
- 90 Minutes
Give your knives a fresh, sharp edge in this hands-on workshop.
Learn safe, repeatable whetstone techniques, including how to assess an edge, maintain a consistent angle, raise and remove a burr, and finish for a clean cutting edge.
No experience is needed. Bring one straight-edge knife to sharpen; all other tools and materials are provided. Ages 14+.
BBQ Tongs
- $105 per person | $80 per child
- 3 Hours
Fire. Steel. BBQ. Turn raw steel into a fully functional pair of BBQ tongs—built by you and ready for the grill.
In this hands-on blacksmithing class, you’ll forge two individual arms, shape the gripping ends, form matching looped handles using a jig, and rivet the pieces together into a working tool. Along the way, you’ll learn how shape, alignment, and tension work together to turn two pieces of steel into one functional object.

Horseshoe Knife
- $90 per person | $75 per child
- 3 Hours
Begin with half a horseshoe and walk away with the coolest knife you’ve ever seen! Perfect for a steak knife, paring knife, or box cutter. In case it’s not enough to forge a knife, you’ll also use some super fun power tools such as belt sanders. Our most popular class at the shop.
Damascus Steel Ring
- $190 per person
- 3-4 Hours
Join up to 5 other participants and forge your very own ring! This course takes the timeless skills of blacksmithing along with the delicate precision of jewelry making to create a once in a lifetime experience. Begin with a chunk of Damascus stainless steel (made in-house!) and forge your way to a unique, fitted ring to take home the very same day.
At our Seattle and Sterling locations, we offer a Premium Damascus Ring Experience for our private/corporate workshops. We can add on precious metals like silver, yellow gold, white gold, etc. perfect for weddings, engagements, anniversaries, and more. Flower Bouquet

In this flower bouquet class, forge a beautiful flower bouquet out of steel! Using a variety of techniques like texturing, dishing, shaping, and riveting, you will forge a beautiful memory to take home the very same day to put in your garden, plants, or display as art.
Chopsticks
- $90 per person | $75 per child
- 3 Hours
Never worry about running out of disposable chopsticks! Using a rod of steel, you’ll learn the exciting techniques of tapering, twisting, and staging hot steel to create your own chopsticks you can use over and over again! (Wasabi bowl not included)
Blacksmithing Open Shop

Open to past customers, our weekly blacksmithing open shop is your opportunity to visit the forge and work on personal projects. Bring your unique ideas and craft something of your very own with the guidance of our expert blacksmiths.
BBQ Fork
- $90 per person | $75 per child
- 3 Hours
In this BBQ fork class, step into the shoes of a blacksmith and transform a rod of steel into your very own functional BBQ Fork! Using traditional blacksmithing techniques, a forge, and fire, participants will learn how to twist, bend, scroll, taper, and split hot metal.
Bottle Opener
- $90 per person | $75 per child
- 3 Hours
In this bottle opener class, begin with a rod of steel and make your very own functional bottle opener! Learn an exciting array of techniques such as twisting, bending, scrolling, and tapering hot steel.
